Miley Cyrus took the stage at the Teen Choice Awards last August 10 and performed the song “Part in the USA” with a stripper pole and some sexy clothes. Of course, the 16-year-old singer garnered criticism about her performance. Now, Billy Ray Cyrus is defending his daughter.
Miley may have won six surf boards at the Teen Choice Awards, but she has also received criticisms for her performance on the show. Aside from giving the ‘Ultimate Choice’ award to Britney Spears, another highlight of Miley Cyrus’ Teen Choice night is her performance of ‘Party in the USA’ as she climbed on the pole.

Catherine Hardwicke joined the cast of Twilight as the young actors and actresses took home several awards for their global hit film “Twilight.”
The young and older Hollywood celebs stepped out Sunday for the Teen Choice Awards at the Gibson Amphitheatre in the Universal Studios. As the Jonas Brothers stepped up to host the 11th annual awards, a number of celebrities were given the honorary surf boards.
Britney Spears is finishing her Circus tour in Europe, but made a quick break and came back to the States to receive a special award at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards.
