It seems that paparazzi vs. celebrity stories are getting worse. Now, soccer star David Beckham, who seems always in a good mood, has met his match.
TMZ reported that a photographer named Emicles Da Mata has filed a lawsuit last month at the L.A. Superior Court, claiming that on December 7 2008, he stopped his car on a Beverly Hills street and Beckham reached over through the driver’s window, grabbed his camera and attempted to wrestle it from him.
The suit also claims that Beckham’s bodyguard, who is also being sued, beat the photographer up repeatedly, grabbed his camera and threw it in the trash.
With stories such as this one, you’ll never know which side tells the story, but as photographers are becoming more aggressive in taking a great dollar-making shot, claims of paparazzis are most likely to be dismissed.
