Believe it or not, it has been nine months since Britney Spears has been out of trouble and even out of the headlines. Now, Britney’s dad Jamie is reportedly planning to ask a judge to review the terms of Brit’s conservatorship in November. Should the judge decide that Britney has been a responsible adult, she can regain control of her business and personal affairs.
Britney Spears is busy on her Circus tour, but off-screen, she’s caught in between the feud of her past management with her present conservators. Apparently, mommy and daddy Spears are sick of their daughter’s ex-manager Sam Lufti and his “dirty mouth.” So instead of blogging how pissed they are, they told it to the courts.
Jamie Spears is a lucky dad. After getting a raise for his conservatorship last December, he’ll probably be earning more money now since he will have total control over Britney’s life.
According to court papers filed in L.A. Superior Court Monday, Jamie Spears’ temporary conservatorship over Britney’s career will become permanent. This new agreement gives Jamie and attorney Andrew Wallet permanent control over the ‘Circus’ singer’s’ finances.
If you think having no control over your hard-earned money is bad, you’ll probably give Britney Spears all the sympathy in the world once you know that Jamie Spears will be the sole conservator over Britney’s personal life. This means the pop star can’t date or socialize with anyone daddy doesn’t like. Jamie will be given the power to “restrict and limit visitors by any means.”
Although Britney seems looking healthier these days (Check out her latest pictures back to work at the studios below), you just can’t help but feel sorry for the girl. Can you imagine being 27 years old millionaire and be unable to do what you please?
Since the court gave Jamie Spears control over Britney Spears’ finances and personal decisions earlier this year, he has been making around $10,000 a month just to look after Britney’s overall well-being and career. You think this amount is huge? Well, prepare to be surprised as Jamie Spears just received a raise.
This Monday, an L.A. Superior Court Commissioners just gave Jamie Spears a $6000-a-month raise. In addition to this raise, he also gets an extra $1,200 per month to keep an office to deal with everything related to his daughter’s affairs, including her career and personal problems.
To act like a full time nanny, financial adviser, guardian, career manager and dad all at the same time, Jamie Spears may have been worth the money. Besides, regardless of rumors that Britney Spears is not yet ready to make a comeback, her dad helped in bringing her new album “Circus” debut into No.1 at the Billboard charts and have control over her personal life free of Britney’s old partying ways.
