Stars of High School Musical Snob Gifts of Aussie Fans

The stars of High School Musical 3 reportedly left Melbourne fans heartbroken at the film’s Australian premiere. According to the Herald Sun, die-hard fans of the movie gave Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale  toy koalas, kangaroos and flowers at the Jam Factory in Melbourne’s CBD on Wednesday Night. Along with the gifts are handwritted notes with messages “Thanks for coming to Melbourne” and “I love you Zac”.

After waiting for 12 hours just to get autographs from the stars, the three Disney stars rushed the autograph signing and their speeches. The stars clearly had no interest of what the fans gave and had to say as Efron, Hudgens and Tisdale made a hasty exit through the cinema backdoor. The Village Cinema staff felt bad for the fans, so they took care of the presents, stuffing the flowers, cards and toys into the cinema storeroom.

Some Aussie fans who were at the Melbourne premiere hit online message boards, accusing Vanessa Hudgens of being ungrateful. That’s some horrible diva stunt, if you ask me. I bet Disney would give these stars a bit of a beating – don’t they know that teenage die-hard fans can make or break their success? See more pictures of the trio below..

High School Musical 3 Remains an Unbeatable force at the Blockbusters

High School Musical 3: Senior Year bagged $15 million this weekend, raising the Disney big-screen movie to a whopping $61.8 million for its first ten days in the theaters.

Beating Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Saw V and Changeling this weekend, the High School Musical 3 failed to hit it big on theaters Friday with only $1.7 million, but immediately hopped back up with $8.2 million ticket sales on Saturday.

Disney’s president of the motion-picture group says they were expecting the sudden drop to happen as their target market was out trick-or-treating on Friday. Other non-scary movies were also hurt during Halloween night.

I’m all for great music and lyrics, but if another High School Musical is being planned, I think it would be the end of these kids’ careers. They should just open their wings and try other things while they’re on the top of their game.
