Courtney Cox and Faith Hill will both be launching their own scents in 2009; while Cox has been recruited by Avon to be the face of its new fragrance called ‘Spotlight’, Hill has been signed by Coty for her own signature fragrance. Both women are proud to represent their new brands and showed excitement about their 2009 scents.
Meanwhile, two young celebrities are also cashing in on the perfume industry – Jessica Simpson and Christina Aguilera both released their fragrances this week. Named “Inspire”, Aguilera’s new fragrance was unveiled at Macy’s Glendale Galleria in L.A. on December 5 with scents ranging from fruity to floral scents. Jessica Simpson expanded her line of products with her new fragrance “Fancy”, which was unveiled at the Macy’s in Chicago on December 6.

Aguilera seeks Nicole Richie’s Parenting Advice

Yep, you heard read that right! Christina Aguilera is turning to Nicole Richie for parenting advice.
Christina Aguilera admitted that she didn’t know Nicole Richie all that much in the past, but the two young stars has recently become friendly. At the post-AMA party Sunday, Aguilera tells Pop Tarts, “I didn’t know much about Nicole, but because our little ones are born one day apart and through mutual friends I’ve had the opportunity of getting to know her and I was blown away with how great of a mom she is. I actually ask her for advice because she has a lot of great things that she does for her little one. She’s even a little more stricter with battery operated toys and what not, she’s a great woman.”
Not only does Aguilera thinks highly of Richie, she was also quick on defending Richie’s scandalous past, saying, “She doesn’t go out so much, maybe she goes to dinners. I really appreciate people that exude a lot of talent and hard work in what they do and having a child has made her grow so much as it has made me grow. It just is inevitable that you’re going to grow when you have a little one, so anyone who’s giving anybody grief for going out and partying, they’re just trying to be negative and stir up drama and I have nothing but good things to say about Nicole. I have to say that.”

Cyrus, Aguilera & Beyonce to Perform at the AMA

One thing Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera and Beyonce has in common is they’re all lined up to perform at the American Music Awards.
Cyrus, who is turning 16 November 23, said in a statement, “I am so excited to be able to perform live for my fans at the American Music Awards and celebrate my Sweet 16 too.”
Beyonce’s appearance at the AMA is just in perfect timing, as she will be releasing her latest album “I am Sasha Fierce” a few days before the event.
The 36th Annual AMA will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and trophies will be given by Bill Ray Cyrus, Jordin Sparks and Scott Weiland. Other performances include Ne-Yo, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Coldplay, Rihanna, Pussycat Dolls, Pink, Taylor Swift, The Fray, the Jonas Brothers and New Kids on the Block. Annie Lenox, who is set to receive the special ‘Award of Merit’, will also be performing.
