With Ashlee Simpson-Went recently booted off from the TV series ‘Melrose Place,’ everyone felt sorry that she would be out of a job. But, as the saying goes, when a door closes, a window opens. This time, for Ashlee, the window opened going to Broadway.

The pop singer/actress will now be playing Roxie Hart in the long-running musical revival of “Chicago” on Broadway.

Producer Barry Weissler says Simpson-Wentz will join the production on Nov. 30 for a 10-week engagement ending in early February. The performer played Roxie in the London production of “Chicago” in 2006.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week’s about to hit New York this week, and for sure a lot of celebs are vying to walk the runway sporting the latest fashion trends. But while TV stars such as “90210’s”Annalyne McCord and Shenae Grimes plan on getting ahead of newcomers Lea Michele (Glee) and Joanna Garcia (Gossip Girl), designers are thinking of nobody else to trot their creations: Kristen Stewart.

Running second best is MTV’s Whitney Port, who will be showing off her Whitney Eve clothing line this coming Fashion Week, but unfortunately her reality TV pals are starting to lose their streak thanks to the new batch of stars who are currently overpopulating the big screen.

Another favorite for the front row is Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. The singer-actress is no less than the hottest addition to the cast of “Melrose Place,” and she has confirmed to take part of Jill Stuart’s fashion flick.

To all the designers who wish for Kristen Stewart, sorry, but Bella Swan’s busy filming the third leg of the “Twilight” saga, “Eclipse.” She can be found nowhere else but in Vancouver throughout fashion week.

Let’s just see if somebody has the guts, effort and the big bucks to bring her down to New York for this year’s fashion celebration. Who knows? She just might be on the front row right before Fashion Week’s over.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz fights back against gossip blogger Perez Hilton after he reported that Ashlee got into a drunken fight with husband Pete Wentz over the weekend while in Chicago.

Pete and Jessica were in Chicago to celebrate the first year anniversary of Pete’s bar “Angels & Kings.” According to Hilton’s report, Jessica got obliterated and confronted Pete in the DJ booth, telling him to leave. Perez said the fight continued out to the street, where a fan was able to take photos of Ashlee stumbling out of the bar. Hilton also said that Jessica had to run after the fan to demand all pictures of her be erased.

Ashlee, on the other hand, says Perez isn’t telling the truth. Early Monday morning, she took to her Twitter page to deny the incident, saying, “My husband is an amazing dj and was dedicating songs to me. We were just having fun. Our love is amazing. Get ur own life. When all you do is make up untrue stories—look in the mirror. Do you even feel human?? Karma is a b****. Your story is WAY off.”

There were rumors going around that Pete and Ashley Wentz are having marriage troubles. But Friday night, the couple proved everyone wrong by locking lips on stage at the MTV Australia Awards in Sydney.

Ashlee wasn’t scheduled to be at the Awards, but surprised everyone when she appeared. She explained that she has been busy with “some acting work going on and just being a mom”. Ashlee then told the audience to “grab the person next to you” and exited the stage holding hands with Pete. Minutes later, the two went back to the stage and shared a passionate kiss before the cheering crowd.

Following the kiss, Pete, who was hosting the awards ceremony, told the audience, “Sorry, we haven’t seen each other in a while. We’re going to go and find some quiet time and fornicate somewhere.” He then high-fived Ashlee and left the stage together holding each other’s hand.

The couple got married on May 17, 2008 and confirmed they were expecting their first child soon after. On November 20 the same year, the 24-year-old Ashlee gave birth to her first child, Bronx Mowgli.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is defending her sister Jessica for being called “fat” when she performed at the Radio 99.9 Kiss Country’s annual Chili Cookoff last Sunday.

The 24-year old Ashlee Simpson ranted on her blog, saying:

“I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister’s weight. Since when did a woman’s weight become newsworthy. A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman’s weight or figure.

All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you’re a celebrity, there shouldn’t be a different standard.”

Ashlee wondered if people would make the same remarks to their family members. She added, “I seriously doubt it. How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure? Now can we focus on the things that really matter.”

It looks like more and more artists are appearing on CSI. After news that Taylor Swift will be appearing on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Pete and Ashlee Wentz are now being reported to appear on CSI:NY.

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson, the new parents of Bronx Mowgli Wentz, will guest star on CSI:NY. Apparently, the couple will portray a rip-off of Bonnie and Clyde. Ashlee will start shooting on Friday, while Pete will begin begin his short acting stint next week.

Ashlee-Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz decided to share the photos of their newborn son, Bronx Mowgli with no magazine. Instead, they just posted it on the web… for free.

The Fall Out Boy star and his pop star wife posted their “Happy Holidays!” greeting to their friends at Wentz’s site, friendsorenemies.com. Their message reads: “We decided to share the best gift we could ever receive with you: Bronx Mowgli Wentz.”

The couple also encouraged contributions to a trio of their fave charities, including the foundation of pals and fellow new parents Nicole Richie and Joel Madden.

In fact, Pete Wentz had gone too far by sharing details about his and wife Ashlee Simpson’s sex life on the Howard Stern radio show Tuesday, while promoting his band’s ‘Fall Out Boy’ latest album, “Folie a Deux”.

Wentz was so proud of his sex life that he had to share it to Stern, saying, “We have an amazing sex life. We have such sexual chemistry. If we had been on this show last year, we’d probably be doing it in the green room right now. Hopefully, the kid [3-week-old son Bronx] doesn’t change it.”

Wentz also revealed that although Ashlee and him don’t have sex much because of her recent birth to son Bronx Mowgli, “they do other fun stuff”. He continued to explain their intimate sex details, saying, “[She] loves giving me lap dances. She gives a mean lap dance. [She wears] thongs and sexy clothes.”

Pete Wentz also shared his best sexual experience with Ashlee Simpson, saying that his “best sexual encounter he has ever had was at the NY SoHo Grand Hotel. He added, “I’m looking in the mirrors, [thinking], ‘Oh my God, you are banging the girl of your dreams, and you can watch yourself!’”

Other details about Ashlee Simpson included her pregnancy weight, her bra size pre-pregnancy and post-pregnancy (he says, “I think with the breast milk it’s a D”) and how Wentz would’ve considered a threesome with Ashlee and Jessica “20 years back.”

No one would’ve guessed that Ashlee Simpson ordered Wentz not to say “anything crummy” about her on the Stern radio show. Looks like Pete Wentz will be sleeping on the couch for days.

Pete Wentz is a proud dad for son Bronx Mowgli Wentz who was born November 20. He revealed that once he was born, both he and Ashlee Simpson said, “’He’s beautiful. He’s perfect.” With an estimate of $2 million dollars for the first baby pictures of Mowgli, he’ll definitely be the most perfect baby this November 2008… that is, until Jolie adopts or give births to another Jolie-Pitt.

Although Pete and Ashlee hasn’t decided whether they’ll be selling the pictures exclusively… or not, the U.S. publicist Howard Bragman estimated that Mowgli’s pictures will be worth around the low seven figures mark, explaining, “Two million seems like a good, solid figure for Ashlee and Pete. It’s a two-celeb couple, so that’s a boost for them.  Keep in mind, last year, Ashlee was the girl who sang along to the tape recorder. It was a PR nightmare. Now, she’s a newlywed and a new mom, so she’s a lot more relatable.”

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and husband Pete Wentz (although working immediately after his son’s birth) has not yet commented on the report.

Bronx Mowgli Mentz isn’t your typical baby name, but Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz decided to use this name for their first son due to necessity.

On Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, Wentz revealed, “The Jungle Book was something that me and Ashlee bonded over. It’s a cool name.”

Although Wentz revealed the meaning of their son’s second name, he refused to open up about their week-month-old son’s first name, Bronx. “We came up with the idea Bronx. We’ve been throwing [ideas] back and forth a while. It’s kind of cool to just leave the narrative what it is. People are stoked or pissed or whatever. And you’re like, you know what: I don’t think anyone really has the real story.”

Pete also reveals how Ashlee handled the birth better than he did, saying, “Right before she went into labor, I was like, ‘Oh, my god, I think I’m having a heart attack. My heart started beating real fast. You see your wife is in all this pain. And I don’t know what’s happening right now. She took care of me and made sure I was okay and then went into labor. That’s why she’s a saint.”
