Kristen Bell has just joined the reboot of 80s cop drama “CHiPs”.
“CHiPs” has just added Kristen Bell to its star-studded cast, which includes Michael Pena, Adam Brody, Rosa Salazar, and Vincent D’Onofrio, who is reported to play a villain.
According to TheWrap, Bell joins her husband, Dax Shepard, who wrote the script, will direct and portray the role of officer Jon Baker. Pena is on board to play Frank “Ponch” Poncherello, a role originated by Erik Estrada.
While it has been confirmed that Kristen Bell joins the film, there is no word yet on what kind of role Bell will play.
Andrew Panay will produce “CHiPs,” which follows the two California Highway Patrol officers who are responsible to pull over speeders and car thieves, help stranded motorists and investigate crimes.
The action comedy movie is expected to arrive in the U.S. in 2016.
