Amanda Seyfried is set to make her comeback to the small screen, after landing a role in Showtime’s revival of “Twin Peaks.”
According to TVLine, Amanda Seyfried will be playing a new character not found in the 1990s version, but details about the role are being kept hush-hush. What’s confirmed though, is that the role is somewhat “pivotal” as she was booked for multiple episodes.
Amanda Seyfried had her break on TV, becoming a series regular on “As the World Turns” from 1999 to 2001. She then landed a recurring role as Lilly Kane on “Veronica Mars,” while lending her voice to characters of “American Dad!” and “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey.” Her last gig on the small screen on HBO’s “Big Love,” where she appeared in 44 episodes, but Amanda has been busy with movies like “Ted 2” and “While We’re Young.”
The new “Twin Peaks” series will consist of 18 episodes, which all are written by co-creators Mark Frost and David Lynch, who is also set to direct all episodes. Original cast members Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, Dana Ashbook and Sherilyn Fenn are all returning to reprise their roles.
