Pink debuted her new track “Today’s the Day” when she made a guest appearance on live TV on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, then released it in full the same day.
The singer wrote the song with Greg Kurstin as producer. She previewed a promo video of “Today’s the Day” last month on the show, since Pink recorded it specifically as a new theme song for the season 13 of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
Pink came back on the show yesterday, September 10, to perform its full version and made it available on iTunes the same day.
“Today’s the Day” marks Pink’s first solo material since her 2012 album “The Truth About Love” with hits like “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)”, “Try” and “Just Give Me a Reason”. In October last year, she collaborated with City & Colour a.k.a. Dallas Green, and released a full-length called “Rose Ave.”
