Gary Busey has been named one of the celebrity contestants who will go head-to-head on season 21 of “Dancing with the Stars.”
The Oscar-nominated actor officially announced his dancing gig in an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Tuesday night, September 1. He joins Bindi Irwin, Victor Espinoza, Nick Carter, Chaka Khan, Andy Grammer, Alexa Vega and her actor/singer husband Carlos Pena Jr., and Hayes Grier on the reality TV competition.
Showing up on Kimmel’s stage riding a horse, Gary Busey certainly made an impact on the late-night show. But when asked why he decided to join DWTS, the actor joked and replied: “I didn’t have anything else to do.”
Gary Busey isn’t a newbie when it comes to reality TV. He has appeared as a contestant in two seasons of NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice,” Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, and became the first American winner of the fourteenth series of the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother.
The full line-up and the pairing will be revealed Wednesday, September 2 on “Good Morning America,” while the season 21 competition begins September 14 at 8 P.M. ET on ABC.
