Kesha is coming to the small screen in a guest-starring role on hit telenovela-inspired comedy “Jane the Virgin.”
The ‘Die Young’ singer will portray a musician named Annabelle, who lives next door to Jane and isn’t exactly “a baby person.”
Executive producer and series creator Jennie Snyder Urman says of the casting: “We are so thrilled Kesha will be appearing on Jane! We are all huge fans of hers, and we are so excited to welcome her to the ‘Jane the Virgin’ family.”
Kesha also took to Twitter to express her excitement, saying: “Stoked!!!!! I’ll be making a guest starring appearance on @CWJanetheVirgin on @CW!”
Kesha’s character will appear in the second episode for the upcoming season 2 of the CW dramedy. She joins Britney Spears, who will also guest-star on the show as Rogelio’s (Jaime Camil) “nemesis.”
“Jane the Virgin” season 2 premieres Monday, October 12 at 9 P.M. on The CW.
