Armie Hammer is currently in negotiations to join Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams in the thriller film ‘Nocturnal Animals.’
If negotiations push through, the ‘Lone Ranger’ actor will play the husband of a character portrayed by Adams.
“Nocturnal Animals” will be Tom Ford’s second feature after “A Single Man,” his directorial debut which won him a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild, as well as and Academy Award nominations for Colin Firth, and Golden Globe nod for Julianne Moore.
“Nocturnal Animals,” which will be written and produced by Ford, is based on Austin Wright’s 1993 novel entitled “Tony and Susan” which tracks two stories. The first part centers on a woman (Adams) who receives a book manuscript from her ex-husband, whom she left 20 years earlier, asking for her opinion. She finds herself recalling her first marriage and confronting some dark truths about herself. Meanwhile, the second part follows a man (Gyllenhaal) whose family vacation turns violent and deadly.
Armie Hammer can currently be seen in theaters alongside Henry Cavill in “Man From U.N.C.L.E.”
