Katherine Heigl had landed herself another TV role. She’s joining the cast of CBS’ new legal drama “Doubt.”
The actress is set to replace KaDee Strickland in the lead role of Sadie. Other stars on board include “Orange is the New Black” star Laverne Cox, Dule Hill, Dreama Walker and Elliott Gould.
“Doubt” comes from executive producers Tony Phelan and Joan Rater of Grey’s Anatomy, where Katherine Heigl had one of her longest TV roles to date and where she won and got nominated for a couple of Emmys.
Heigl’s new role is described as a “smart, chic, successful defense lawyer at a boutique firm who shockingly gets romantically involved with one of her clients, who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime.”
After Katherine Heigl made her dramatic exit on Grey’s Anatomy, she focused on her movie career. She came back to her TV roots last year with the NBC drama thriller “State of Affairs”, but the show was canceled after only one season.
