After news that a “showdown” with David O. Russell broke on the set of their new film, Jennifer Lawrence denies that there ever was any trouble whatsoever.
The actress, who is currently working on her new project ‘Joy’, simply said of David O. Russell: “I adore this man.”
Jennifer Lawrence also denied fighting with her “Joy” director David O. Russell on the set of the movie. She released a statement Friday night that read: “I know I don’t go on here a lot because I can barely work email but there’s been a terrible rumor going around the last 24 hours so I wanted to clear it up.” She continued: “David O. Russell is one of my closest friends and we have an amazing collaborative working relationship. I adore this man and he does not deserve this tabloid malarkey. This movie is going great and I’m having a blast making it!”
“Joy” tells the story of a single mom of three who later becomes a successful entrepreneur with the self-wringing mop business. Lawrence joins Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper and Edgar Ramirez on the film.
