E! confirmed that Kelly Osbourne has quit “Fashion Police.”
According to a statement released by E! Entertainment, Kelly has exited the show “to pursue other opportunities” with no replacement named so far.
Kelly Osbourne, who joined “Fashion Police” in 2010, did not provide any reason or statement about her exit from the hit show.
The statement from E! Entertainment issued Friday, February 27 read: “Kelly Osbourne is departing E!s Fashion Police to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers. Fashion Police will return, as scheduled, on Monday, March 30, at 9 p.m. and no decisions have been made on her replacement.”
Days before quitting the show, Kelly had declared she would have to quit the show if Giuliana Rancic’s controversial comment about Zendaya Coleman’s dreadlocks at recent Oscars hadn’t been set right. She tweeted: “Im giving everyone involved 24 hours to make it right or the world will hear how I really feel. contactually Im not allowed to speak!.. I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW!”
Although Giuliana issued an apology twice with Zendaya accepting the apology and “moving on,” Kelly still quit the show.
