Will Ferrell has landed the lead role to New Line’s upcoming comedy, “The House.”
After a bidding war that landed New Line rights to produce the film, the company cast comedian Will Ferrell to headline the new feature for productions to kick off in August and with a summer 2016 release.
Deadline reports Ferrell is set to play “a guy, who, with his wife, blows their daughter’s college fund. Desperate for cash, they team with some neighbors to open an illegal casino in the suburbs.”
Ferrell will also co-produce the upcoming flick alongside Adam McKay with Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien writing the script.
Will has got a lot of films for release. His next movie “Get Hard” (alongside Kevin Hart) hits theater on March 27. He is also currently in production for the film “Daddy’s Home.”
