‘Wedding Ringer’ actor Kevin Hart has signed on as roast master to the upcoming Comedy Central special, Justin Bieber roast for his 21st birthday.
Kevin Hart said of the Justin Bieber roast: “I don’t normally do roasts, but I had to step out for my guy Biebs. It’s his big 21. It’s about to be operation roast everyone’s a**.”
Bieber took to Twitter and commented: “This is gonna be good. #neverscared #kindascared lol @KevinHart4real @ComedyCentral #BieberRoast,” to which Hart replied: “Oh don’t you worry @justinbieber it will be brought [laughing emoticons] ….. #BieberRoast ….Good luck my friend.” Bieber quickly wrote back to the comedian: “Haha. Yes!!! Only person that made sense. Ok Kev…bring it! Lol #BieberRoast.”
Comedy Central’s Kent Alterman said of Hart’s new gig: “They say only a good friend would verbally eviscerate another good friend for all his vulnerabilities. Kevin Hart is a very good friend.”
The special show will be taped on March 14 and air on March 30 at 10 P.M.
Bieber joins other celebrities like Joan Rivers, Charlie Sheen, Donald Trump, David Hasselhoff, and Bob Saget who got a Comedy Central roast in the past like. James Franco was the last one roasted in 2013, with friend Seth Rogen acting as roast master.
