Brad Pitt is going to work with Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling in an adaptation of Michael Lewis’ best-selling book ‘The Big Short.’
Variety reported that the three actors are set to star on “The Big Short,” a big-screen adaptation about the financial crisis of 2007-2010. Michael Lewis also wrote the books “Moneyball” and “The Blind Side,” both of which had been adapted into film.
“The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine” is about the build-up of the housing and credit bubble of the 2000s that led to the financial crisis of 2007-2010. The story follows key figures who played a role in the financial bubble.
Brad Pitt will produce the movie with DeDe Gardner through their Plan B banner, with Adam McKay writing and directing the film.
It was previously announced that “The Big Short” will feature “several A-list actors who have similar-sized roles, similar to the cast of ‘Traffic’ or ‘The Counselor’.”
