George Clooney was honored with the lifetime achievement award, the Cecil B. DeMille Award earlier today.
The actor joined winners of the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards as he took home the
Clooney’s former co-stars Julianna Margulies and Don Cheadle presented the award, with the actor joking: “I thought they were going to roast me.”
George Clooney gave a touching speech, mentioning his wife onstage: “It’s a humbling thing to find someone to love. Amal, I couldn’t be prouder to be your husband.” He finished off by showing his support to people who marched in France over the Charlie Hebdo incident, saying: “They marched in support of the idea that we will not walk in fear. So JeSuisCharlie.”
