Beyonce has become the singer with the most Grammy nominations, beating out country music icon Dolly Parton’s record of 46 nominations.
As her self-titled, surprise album received nomination for best urban contemporary album on Friday, Beyonce now leads the list of most Grammy-nominated female artists (since she is tied with producer David Foster for seventh place among all artists overall).
Beyonce has won 17 Grammys throughout her career, but she has to go a long way to beat Alison Kraus, who currently holds the title of having the most Grammy wins with 27 trophies than any other woman in history.
Should Queen B win a new Grammy in the upcoming awards show, she will tie with Aretha Franklin, who has 18 statues under her belt.
The 57th annual Grammy Awards is scheduled on February 8.
