Aubrey Plaza is set to voice internet sensation Grumpy Cat in an upcoming Lifetime set to air this holiday season.
The actress will lend her voice to a pet store cat that no one wants until 12-year-old Chrystal (Megan Charpentier) meets her and finds that she can hear the cat talk.
On the TV movie “Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever,” the cat and Chrystal embark on a Christmas adventure that involves some evil dognappers.
Aside from Aubrey Plaza and the Grumpy Cat, The Hollywood Reporter also noted that the special holiday TV-film will also feature other notable internet memes.
“SpongeBob SquarePants” writer/director Tim Hill wrote the script with Jeff Morris. Hill is also set to direct.
“Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever” is set to air on Lifetime on Saturday, November 29 at 8pm (ET/PT).
