Sandra Bullock is in talks to star in David Gordon Green’s Our Brand Is Crisis.
“Our Brand Is Crisis” was written by Peter Straughan based on the 2005 documentary of the same name. It follows American political campaign marketing tactics in the 2002 Bolivian presidential election, which saw Evo Morales lose to Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada.
Variety.com reports that Sandra Bullock had been in talks to join the political dramedy project for months. She will also serve as an executive producer on the film alongside George Clooney and Grant Heslov’s Smokehouse Pictures.
When Bullock and Clooney were promoting their movie “Gravity,” the two had discussed this project in depth. If everything works out, Bullock would “Calamity” Jane Bodine, a retired American political consultant.
According to TheWrap.com, it remains unclear whether Clooney will co-star in the project. Clooney is also not expected to direct “Our Brand Is Crisis,” but a director has yet to be named.
