Rob Lowe has landed another Lifetime movie, as he stars in “Beautiful and Twisted.”
The movie, which is based on a true story, will follow the investigation of Miami police on the death of Fountainbleau Miami Beach millionaire heir Ben Novack Jr., played by Lowe. Evidence leads to the millionaire’s secrets, including his marriage to a former stripper named Narcy (to be played by Spanish actress Paz Vega). Candice Bergen (of the Murphy Brown fame) will play Novack’s mother Bernice.
This marks the third Lifetime project Rob Lowe has signed on. He previously appeared as a lawyer on “Prosecuting Casey Anthony” and as the titular suspected killer in “Drew Peterson: Untouchable.:
Sony Pictures TV is producing the movie with Teena Booth, Inon Shampanier, Natalie Shampanier and Stephen Kay penning the script. Lowe will also executive-produce the TV movie with Judith Verno.
Filming begins this month, with an expected release date later this year.
