Chris Colfer and Lea Michele’s Twitter accounts were hacked a day apart, with Colfer’s account announcing his exit from ‘Glee’ and Michele’s account revealing some pregnancy news.
Fans of Glee were shocked Thursday when Chris Colfer’s Twitter posted a message that said: “Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of Glee. Explanations will come shortly…” Fortunately for fans though, the 24-year-old actor’s Twitter was only hacked and that the message was “not true.” A rep for Chris added: “He will indeed be back for the final season.”
Producers at 20th Century Fox have also issued a statement, which reads: “We’ve been alerted that Chris Colfer’s Twitter account has been hacked. Rumors of his dismissal from Glee could not be further from the truth. We love Chris and look forward to working with him again this season.”
The following day, COlfer’s co-star Lea Michele also tweeted some “important news.” Hers indicated that she was pregnant. It read: “Before this gets out to the media, I would like to announce to my fans that I am pregnant #BabyBoy.”
The post was quickly removed and statements from Lea’s rep denied the message, saying that Lea was not pregnant and that her Twitter account was also hacked.
“Glee” returns for a new season in the autumn.
