Carrie Fisher's Daughter May Play Young Princess Leia In Star Wars Episode VII (a)

Rumor has it that Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd could fill the need for J.J. Abrams’ young Princess Leia on “Star Wars: Episode VII.”

With the movie still in pre-production and early filming, casting rumors are still rampant and the latest one involves Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd. Latino-Review recently linked Lourd to a mysterious Star Wars part, adding that “it could be a cameo.”

The Daily Mail reports that Billie Lourd actually is playing a young version of Princess Leia, with a source spilling the beans that Lourd “will even have her hair tied up in Princess Leia-style buns” and that Carrie Fisher had her blessing since she “wanted somebody in her family to play her most famous role.”

Billie Lourd is the daughter of Carrie Fisher and casting agent Bryan Lourd. No confirmation yet from J.J. Abrams, Disney, Bad Robot or LucasFilm about Lourd’s casting.
