Channing Tatum, Tilda Swinton and Ralph Fiennes have joined the cast of ‘Hail Caesar!’
The three actors join George Clooney and Josh Brolin, who were previously announced to star in the Coen brothers’ 1950s set comedy.
“Hail Caesar!” is about Eddie Mannix, a fixer who works in the golden age of Hollywood, keeping actors in line behind the scenes. The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Swinton is set to play a powerful gossip columnist, Fiennes is portraying studio director Laurence Lorenz, and Tatum is going to play a “Gene Kelly-type star.”
Joel and Ethan Coen are directing and producing the film under their Mike Zoss Productions company alongside Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan for Working Title Films. Universal Pictures has acquired worldwide distribution rights.
Channing Tatum is busy promoting “22 Jump Street” and will be seen in “Foxcatcher” and “Jupiter Ascending” in theaters soon. Swinton is currently filming Judd Apatow’s latest comedy “Trainwreck,” while Fiennes has just finished filming Russian drama “Mesyats v Derevne.”
