James Franco is sharing his knowledge to the world. The actor has reportedly opened up an online class where he will teach students how to write a short film for only 25 bucks.
James Franco and his Rabbit Bandini Productions partner Vince Jolivette have set up an online class through Skillshare, entitled: “Introduction to Screenwriting for Short Films.”
Students who have signed up, now at 1,700 individuals, are given access to 15 video lectures that would help them complete their project: a screenplay for an eight-minute short film based off of one of three source texts.
Submitted projects, due by July 24, will be put up for voting. The top 10 projects with the most upvotes from fellow students will be read by James and Vince, who will then chose their “favorite writers” and will receive one-on-one feedback from Franco himself.
