Robin Thicke isn’t done trying to win his estranged wife Paula Patton back. The ‘Blurred Lines’ hit-maker reportedly wrote a song which he will debut in a big way.
The singer has written a heartfelt track titled “Get Her Back” with lyrics begging his estranged wife for another chance. And Robin is reportedly planning to debut the song during his performance at the Billboard Music Awards.
TMZ reports that Robin Thicke is hoping to “make it right” between the eight-year married couple, after splitting up in February amid rumors of his cheating. Lyrics of the song include: “I gotta get her, go get her back / I gotta treat her right / I gotta cherish her for life,” and “I should’ve kissed you longer / I should’ve held you stronger / And I’ll wait for forever for you.”
Since their split, Robin had been trying to win Paula Patton back through his concerts, asking for forgiveness and talking about his love for her. Paula, for her part, admitted earlier this month that they have “known each other since we were teenagers. All I can tell you is there’s a deep love there – always was, and always will be.”
The couple began dating when they were teenagers. They have a three-year-old son named Julian.
