Seth MacFarlane confirmed news that he is working on a sequel to the box office hit “Ted” and revealed that Amanda Seyfried will fill in Mila Kunis’ place for the lead female role.
MacFarlane, who is the writer and creator of the hit FOX series “Family Guy,” remains close with Kunis (who voices Meg on the show). But he has tapped Amanda Seyfried (who MacFarlane worked with on their upcoming movie “A Million Ways to Die in the West) for the lead female role on the Ted sequel.
No other details about Seyfried’s character or storyline have been announced, but it is reported that Miley Kunis will still appear on the sequel, but only for a small part. MacFarlane says the decision to find a lead female was due to “creative reasons.”
MacFarlane will still produce, writer and voice the foul-mouthed teddy bear ‘Ted’ on the sequel. Wahlberg will reprise his role on the film.
Ted 2 is set to hit theaters June 2015.
