Amazon accidentally leaks Bruce Springsteen’s new album two weeks before its pre-scheduled release date.
Fans checking out Amazon.com’s mobile website Saturday night had an early New Year present when the online retail giant accidentally made Bruce Springsteen’s forthcoming album “High Hopes” available for download two weeks ahead of its release date.
“High Hopes” consists of 12 tracks, eight of which feature former Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello. When the album became available, fans were able to download the songs individually only.
While Amazon did make it right by fixing the error quickly and removing all tracks on their website, a handful of fans were able to get copies of the new album and someone leaked the album on illegal file sharing websites.
“High Hopes” will be made available on its official release date on January 13.
