One Direction Score Third UK No 1 Album (1)

One Direction lands its third UK No. 1 chart, after the group’s album “Midnight Memories.”

The group’s newest album is becoming the fastest-selling album this year, as “Midnight Memories” sells 237,000 copies, despite the album leaking in full last month.

One Direction’s third album went straight in at No 1 in the Official UK Albums Chart, beating Gary Barlow’s solo LP “Since I Last Saw You” to the top spot and kicking last week’s No.1 (Robbie Williams’ “Swings Both Ways”) to No.3.

The rest of the top 5 include Olly Murs’ “Right Place Right Time” (which went up from #96 to No 4), and Eminem’s “The Marshall Mathers” at No 5,

One Direction’s appearance on The X Factor last weekend helped send their current single “Story Of My Life” up seven spots to No 3.
