Drake cancelled a planned gig in Philadelphia Saturday night, an hour after it was due to start, blaming an “unexpected technical issue” for the last minute cancellation.
Concertgoers were already inside the 20,000-capacity Wells Fargo Center when they were informed that Drake would not be performing that night and that their tickets will be honored at a new December date in the same venue.
A statement from the venue explained: “Due to the elaborate nature of tonight’s show and an unexpected technical issue, Drake’s ‘Would You Like A Tour?’ concert at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia has been postponed until Wednesday, December 18.”
According to TMZ, the cancelation is caused by the catwalk that was a big part of Drake’s 39-date ‘Would You Like A Tour?’ tour of North America. Drake was reportedly worried that someone might be killed by the catwalk.
