Samuel L. Jackson confirms Elizabeth Olsen joining 'Avengers Age of Ultron' (1)

Since reports that bro-sis superhero duo Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver would be included in Avengers 2, rumors of who will play these characters have been discussed. Now, Samuel L. Jackson confirms that Elizabeth Olsen has signed on to play Scarlet Witch.

While discussing his cameo on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D with The Wall Street Journal, Jackson spoke about the upcoming Avengers sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron and confirmed Olsen’s casting.

Jackson revealed: “I know we’re shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms. [Elizabeth] Olsen [who will play the Scarlet Witch], but I don’t know what she’s doing, if she’s on the inside or the outside. I haven’t seen a script.”

Elizabeth Olsen began making noise in indie 2011 films “Silent House,” “Peace, Love & Misunderstanding,” and the critically-acclaimed “Martha Marcy May Marlene.” In 2012, she began breaking into mainstream films like “Red Lights” alongside veteran actors Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver. Olsen is also set to star in Spike Lee’s “Oldboy” and Gareth Edwards’ “Godzilla.”

The role of Quicksilver has not been announced. The big bosses still have a lot of time though, since the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” won’t hit theaters until May 1, 2015 with productions scheduled to begin by March 2014.
