Leslie Bibb has signed on for a role on FOX’s “The Following.”
The actress, who also stars in the upcoming series “About a Boy,” has also landed a role on the FOX hit series “The Following.” Bibb has reportedly been cast as Jana Murphy, a suburban housewife who unexpectedly finds herself in the company of Joe Carroll (James Purefoy).
TVGuide.com reported the news, but notes that no other details have been released on whether her character is a follower of Carroll, or one of his victims. It also remains unclear if she’ll be featured throughout the second season, or just a minor character for a couple of episodes.
Leslie Bibb joins other recent additions to the Following cast, including Carrie Preston, Keith Carradine, James McDaniel and Jessica Stroup.
While first season finale of “The Following” left Joe Carroll’s fate hanging, James Purefoy made a surprise appearance at the show’s 2013 Comic Con panel, confirming his participation in season two.
The Following creator Kevin Williamson has revealed that season two will be set a year after the events of the first season. He explained: “Moving forward one year later gives us an opportunity to explore a whole new story. We just want to make the best show possible and make it better.”
“The Following” returns midseason on Fox, sometime in early 2014.
