Kate Bosworth and Michael Polish got married over the weekend.
The 30-year-old “Superman Returns” star and the 42-year-old director tied the knot at an outdoor ceremony at The Ranch at Rock Creek in Phillipsburg, Montana.
E! News reports that Kate was dressed in an Oscar De La Renta gown. She reportedly chose the designer after realizing “I don’t like too many tricks or gimmicks. It’s important for me to feel comfortable. It’s as simple as that.”
Polish and Bosworth met while filming the 2011 drama “Big Sur.” Kate shared in an InStyle UK interview back in September, “I never even dated my husband-to-be. He said to me after just a few weeks before we were even together, ‘I’m going to marry you.’ He just knew.” Also around this time, Bosworth took to Twitter telling her followers: “Thank you for all the wonderful engagement wishes … We feel truly blessed.”
In a previous interview with Net-a-Porter, Bosworth talked about her now husband: “There are so many things that just clicked for us. It’s like, what didn’t draw us together? It feels as if we have known each other our whole lives, even though he is 12 years older than me.”
This marks the first marriage for Kate Bosworth and second for Michael Polish (He divorced his first wife/make-up artist Jo Strettell in 2004). Polish and Strettell are parents to their teen-aged daughter Jasper.
