Clint Eastwood and his wife Dina Ruiz have officially announced their split, after 17 years of marriage and over a year of separation.
TMZ reported back in April that the marriage of the 83-year-old actor/director and the 48-year-old reality TV star was “on the rocks,” but the couple remained mum about the status of their marriage. Around this time, E! News also reported that Dina had checked into rehab for depression and anxiety issues.
Dina, who is a former TV news reporter, said that she and her husband remain close but have been living apart for a while. A source tells Us Weekly that the pair broke up in June 2012, but Dina and Clint have not been photographed together in public since 2011.
The couple married in 1996. They have one daughter together – 16-year-old Morgan, while Client has seven other children from previous relationships.
Dina Eastwood starred alongside Morgan and Francesca Eastwood (Clint’s daughter from a previous relationship) on the E! reality show “Mrs. Eastwood & Company,” which lasted only one season with Morgan stating via her personal Tumblr that the family has declined a second season for now.
