Looks like Katy Perry and John Mayer are back on again, as the two were spotted Monday night together at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York to help the Friars Foundation honor 87-year-old Don Rickles with a Lifetime Achievement Award for Comedy.
The on-off couple was spotted holding hands at the event, as they paid tribute to funnyman Rickles alongside other stars like Bob Newhart, Robert De Niro, Joan Rivers and John Stamos..
According to People, Perry “was enamored” during Mayer’s performance at the event. Onlookers said the two “shared kisses” and “were affectionate towards one another — very lovey-dovey.”
The 28-year-old Perry did say she’s “still madly in love” with Mayer in the July 2013 issue of Vogue Magazine, but made it clear in the interview that their relationship was over. She explained: “All I can say about that relationship is that he’s got a beautiful mind. Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds.”
E! News also reports that the two were on a date night Saturday at the Greenwich Hotel and the Bowery Hotel in New York with a source saying: “They were very cuddly and cute. Katy definitely gave the impression that she and John are 100 percent back together.”
