Despite a much publicized breakup from Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart chooses to be productive and signs on to two indie roles as her post-Twilight projects.
Stewart, who hasn’t been involved with any movie since her commitments to the Twilight Saga finished in November last year, has now decided to jump back to acting but seems to be leaving main stream films to go back to her indie roots.
The 24-year-old actress has been confirmed to two new indies: “Camp X Ray” and “Sils Maria” and will start filming one this summer. On the Peter Settler-directed “Camp X Ray,” Stewart will play a young soldier sent to Guantanamo Bay where she develops an awkward relationship with an inmate imprisoned for eight years.
On “Sils Maria,” Kristen will reunite with Pattinson’s BFF Tom Sturridge (who she appeared on the indie “On the Road.”) The film, which begins filming in Europe this summer, also stars Juliette Binoche and Chloe Moretz. Stewart will play an obsessive fan in the film.
