Lindsay Lohan’s court-ordered 90-day rehab stint stemming from her reckless driving case begins today.
TMZ reported that Lohan skipped on the Newport Beach rehab, which was approved by the court, and checked herself into the Betty Ford Center. While it was first reported to be a violation of her probation, Lindsay re-hired her former attorney Shawn Holley to make the switch possible.
In the past 24 hours, Lindsay Lohan has been seen at Morningside Recovery (in Newport Beach) but left quickly. Around this time, the former actress was on the brink of being arrested because prosecutors did not know where she was. But Santa Monica Chief Deputy City Atty. Terry White said Friday that he had given “tentative approval” to the actress to serve her court-mandated rehab at a facility other than the one in Newport Beach. White added that “a more intensive investigation will be undertaken to make sure it complies with all the probation condition requirements.”
