HBO renewed Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ series “Veep” for a third season, with ten new episodes ordered.

The show stars Anna Chlumsky, Tony Hale, Reid Scott, Matt Walsh, Sufe Bradshaw, Timothy C. Simons, Kevin Dunn, and Louis-Dreyfus, who won the Emmy for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy portraying Vice President of the United States Selina Meyer.

Veep, which was created by Armando Iannucci, posted a season-high 1.3 million viewers on April 29, the second highest rating since its series premiere in 2012.

The next episode of Veep premieres this Sunday at 10/9c on HBO immediately following Game of Thrones. Meanwhile, the season 3 premieres in the first half of 2014.

Aside from Veep, HBO also recently renewed “Girls” and “Eastbound and Down,” while Christopher Guest’s “Family Tree” and Stephen Merchant’s “Hello Ladies” are new comedies expected to air this year.
