The Backstreet Boys are back, all right! And they are now immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as boyband members AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, and Nick Carter receive their star as a group yesterday.
All five members were present to receive the 2,485th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, located between Boyz II Men and The Osmonds.
With fans also there to witness the event, the adult “boys” couldn’t help but be emotional. A.J. McLean choked up as he said: “I love you guys. And aside from my wedding day and the birth of my daughter, this is hands-down the best day of my life.”
Nick Carter was also teary-eyed as he told the crowd: “I never ever imagined in a million years that we would be a part of this.” And Howie Dorough added: “I will one day be able to bring my family here. My kids will be able to bring their kids here and still be able to see the legacy that the Backstreet Boys have carried on for many years.”
Brian Littrell lightened up the speeches with a joke. He said: “I worked my entire life to never be walked on, but I’m OK with this one.” Meanwhile, Kevin Richardson simply said: “What a beautiful day. What another beautiful way to celebrate 20 years together.”
