After being arrested for disorderly conduct early Friday morning, Reese Witherspoon braved the premiere of her movie “Mud” in New York Sunday, but canceled everything else this week.
Witherspoon denied that she pulled the celebrity card while her husband Jim Toth was being arrested for DUI, but has since issued a statement saying she is “deeply embarrassed” by her actions towards the officer who puller them over. Reese said: “It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse.”
After Reese’s apology, the website for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon is now showing that the Oscar winner is no longer scheduled to appear on the show Tuesday. Instead of Witherspoon and Eli Manning as the main guests, the site is now promoting the New York Giants quarterback and Nurse Jackie’s Adam Ferrara.
On Monday, Reese also canceled her pre-taped Good Morning America interview.
Reese and her husband have court dates set for next month.
