It’s always fun to hear the Mickey Mouse Club alumns talk about their experience as kid stars, so when Ryan Gosling shared what games he and Britney Spears played, it’s just too adorable.
Gosling talked to The Sunday Times magazine about his experience working with Britney Spears as a Mickey Mouse Club member. He said: “Britney was a sweetheart. She lived right above me, the girl next door. The little girl I used to play basketball and spin the bottle with.”
Ryan, who also worked alongside still-successful stars like Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake and Keri Russell on the show, explained the difference with their professional training with today’s generation of child stars. He said: “It is remarkable, but it isn’t, in a way. Now you have the X Factor and all that stuff, but back then it wasn’t around. You give these kids an unparalleled work ethic, which is why you see the difference between ‘N Sync and those other bands, and between Britney and Christina and the other girls.”
While he speaks highly of his Mickey Mouse Club pals, he says they’re not close today as they were as kids. When asked if they keep in touch, Ryan explained: “Not really. I mean, sometimes you are at the same event, but it’s a lot like I imagine what it’s like to run into someone from elementary school.”
