Legendary singer Dionne Warick has filed for bankruptcy after owing almost $10 million in back taxes.
After filing a Chapter 7 petition earlier this month in New Jersey, Warwick enlisted liabilities that reached $7 million owed to the IRS from 1991 to 1991 and another $3 million of business taxes owed this time to the state of California. She currently has her address in South Orange.
The singer became famous for hits such as “Walk On By,” “Do You Know the Way to San Jose,” and “I Say a Little Prayer.” She also enlisted around $21,000 of income per month and around the same amount in monthly expenses.
According to her publicist, Warwick has already paid back the taxes but it was the penalties that made her dues bigger throughout the years.
