Former Mr. Whitney Houston Bobby Brown will be spending some time behind bars anytime soon.
The 44-year-old “My Prerogative” singer appeared in court to start serving his 55-day jail sentence for a DUI charge, which he pleaded no contest last February, after an arrest in October. According to the Los Angeles Times, Brown is likely to spend no more than 9 days in the county jail due to overcrowding and other considerations.
Brown also has to serve four years of informal probation, attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week, and complete an 18-month alcohol treatment program to finally resolve his drinking problems.
The singer has been served with two DUI charges back in the past, one last year, and another stemming out in 1996.
