After a much-publicized breakup and reunion to Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez has been working on new music, and announced Wednesday that an album is “coming soon.”
Gomez tweeted: “[Who’s] ready for an album? All the songs have been decided coming to you soon.”
Between 2011 and 2012, Selena and her band ‘The Scene’ released three studio albums Kiss & Tell, A Year Without Rain, and When the Sun Goes Down, which were all received well. In February 2012, the group temporarily took a break, with Selena saying the “year is all about films and acting and I want my band to play music wherever with whoever” and reveals they’re going to “be back, but it will be a good while. I love them and I love you guys.”
Back in November, Ryan Seacrest first revealed that Gomez’s next album was slated for March, but no official word on release date has been announced. However, Selena did share some info about her new material, revealing that the fourth album’s two biggest influences are Taylor Swift and Skrillex.
Selena also told MTV last month: “I think for me it was actually interesting to see that towards the middle of me recording my record, a big turn happened to me and it was incredible to see how I applied that to music because I’ve never done that before and it’s great. I think the older I’m getting the more I’m just kind of like I’m cool to share my side of the stories as much as I can, so I’m having a lot of fun.”
