Angelina Jolie is reportedly collaborating with the Coen Brothers for her next directing project entitled “Unbroken.”
The Oscar-winning “True Grit” directors Joel and Ethan Coen will be working with the beautiful Jolie for her next directorial project.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Coen Brothers are set to rewrite the screenplay for “Unbroken,” the movie adaptation based on Laura Hillenbrand’s best-seller about World War II pilot Louis Zamperini who crashed into the Pacific Ocean in 1943, was taken captive by Japanese soldiers, was held in a prison camp, and survived for the rest of the war.
While announcing her plans to direct the drama film, Angelina Jolie said: “I read Laura Hillenbrand’s brilliant book, and I was so moved by Louie Zamperini’s heroic story, I immediately began to fight for the opportunity to make this film. Louie is a true hero and a man of immense humanity, faith and courage. I am deeply honored to have the chance to tell his inspiring story.”
“Unbroken” will mark Angelina’s second film as a director. She made her directorial debut in the 2011 Golden Globe-nominated “In the Land of Blood and Honey.”
