Kirstie Alley has a new show on TV Land…and it’s uniquely called: “Kirstie’s New Show.”
The “Dancing With The Stars” alum is moving to TV Land and will star in a new sitcom called Kirstie’s New Show. She will be playing Broadway star Madison Banks. Also on the new show are her former “Cheers” co-star Rhea Perlman, “Seinfeld’s” Michael Richards, and Broadway’s Eric Petersen.
“Kirstie’s New Show” as you may have guessed revolves around Maddie Banks’ glamorous lifestyle in Broadway. According to press snippets of the new show, Kirstie’s character finds her life turned upside-down when her son Arlo (Petersen), who she gave up at birth, looks to reconnect with her. He’s not exactly what she imagined he’d be — described as “nerdy and schlubby,” but her assistant/BFF Thelma (Perlman) and driver Frank (Richards) encourage her to give him a chance.
TV Land President Larry W. Jones said of the new show: “This cast is a TV Land dream team of stars. Seeing them all together is truly mind-blowing. This series pick-up reaffirms our commitment to making broadcast quality original programming for a network whose brand stands for timeless entertainment.”
