Lena Dunham is on the top of the world. Just after winning a Golden Globe for ‘Best TV Series, Comedy or Musical’ for her work on “Girls,” the writer-turned-actress is now developing a new comedy series for HBO.
The talented 26-year-old, who is currently working on the third season of “Girls,” teamed up with Girls executive producers Jenni Konner to begin working on the new show.
Deadline Hollywood reports that the new show will take place in New York City (just like her award-winning show Girls) and will reportedly be based on the life of the famous personal shopper Betty Halbreich, who has been running a personal shopping service since 1976. The now 85-year-old’s clients include Joan Rivers, Meryl Streep, Sarah Jessica Parker and Katie Couric, among others.
The HBO show is also based on Halbreich’s upcoming memoir, “All Dressed Up and Everywhere To Go.”
