Lindsay Lohan Pleads Not Guilty to lying to cops in car crash case

Lindsay Lohan’s problems with the law continued in court today, a day after the actress fired lawyer Shawn Holley (who has been with her in the past several brushes with the law)… making Lohan’s future in jeopardy.

Fortunately for Lohan, her fired lawyer still appeared in court on her behalf to deliver her soon-to-be former client’s plea of “not guilty” over charges that Lindsay lied to police about a car crash she had last summer (when she wasn’t supposed to be driving).

In court, the judge asked Shawn Holley whether she was still acting as Lohan’s attorney. She simply replied: “At this point, yes.” Although earlier reports suggested that Lindsay hired Mark Heller as her lawyer in New York, Shawn told the judge: “The representation issue will be nailed down.”

It’s interesting to note that if Holley didn’t attend the hearing earlier, a judge would have issued a bench warrant for Lindsay’s arrest. The judge did require the 26-year-old actress to appear in court during a pretrial set for January 30.
